Recently we have had some people and businesses in Perth area that been targeted and have their computer/server infected by the Cryptolocker Virus and would be lost all the data/files if they didn’t have backup strategy in place.

The notorious Cryptolocker virus has resurfaced in Australia hiding in emails from Australia Post or Telstra. Skycomm have been spending a lot of time removing this new generation Ransomware Virus.  This form of the virus is unbreakable, it hijacks computer files and demands a ransom to restore them.

We like to remind you – please take precautions when opening emails/ click unknown links and ensure all your data is backed up daily in both local drive and online, it would also help to test your backup once every quarter.
